Montevideo, Uruguay

Montevideo seems to be so close to Buenos Aires, Argentina, someone even said it could be seen from B.A?
Just across the bay, it may take only 2 to 3 hours by ferry!
But, we arrived in Montevideo, Uruguay the next morning.
Can I say it is smaller version of B.A?
Sorry for people from Uruguay but no offence as it is equally beautiful and nice!!!
Main plaza in town.
We did not take any tour here as the town is easily reached by foot.
It took about half an hour from the port.
Very nice to stroll around the old and new part of the city.

A cute kiosk in the Plaza of Independencia!

A tourism police try to protect passengers from the cruise on the way to the town.
We found these large restaurant building not far from the port.
There would be about 20 restaurants selling all sort of meat called Uruguayan BBQ Asado here under the one roof.

Huge BBQ bar!
All Greg wants is empanada!
Greg managed to finish his empanada but I lost half of my empanada to homeless kid who was very hungry here.
