La Reunion, Highest mountain in Indian ocean

March 2nd, we arrived in this little island in Indian ocean near Madagascar.
It is a part of France but only few French know about it.
The highest mountain(3,071m) around the ocean can be found on this beautiful volcanic island.
We took a tour to cirque Salazie and Waterfall.
It must be the most popular tour as there are enough people signed up for 2 big coaches from the cruise ship.

Vanila vine growing on this vanila farm.

These green bean like pods become vanila pods in few months

Finished vanila products ready to be exported in a box

Waterfalls in deep valley

Local restaurant in this tiny village up on the mountain top called Hell Bourg were not ready for large number of tourists, yet.
We arrived in too early??

Celebrity Chef George and the ship internet mgr. Jacque with Greg are waiting for the lunch.

Finally, everyone are being fed with Kreole foods and wine.
Sword fish and sassage dish with some kind of beef terrine.
Some are not impressed with foods and wine, but hey!, we were very hungry.

Lots of waterfalls like this in this beautiful island
