5March Komodo Island, Indonesia

Surprisingly beautiful and rugged islands are scattered around in Slawi bay, eastern part of Indonesia.
It is a tender port.

No passengers can leave the ship unless they signed up for the ship’s tour.
This is an Indonesian national park and carnivorous Komodo dragon is dangerous to the tourists without local guides.
They are an endangered species.
There are roughly 3,000 Komodo dragons living around Komodo Island and Rinca island in this bay
First encounter! Awesome creature! Yes, they can run fast and swim.

Wow! Four Komodo dragons are found in their hunting ground!
They could be about 40 years old and up to 3 meters long!
Baby dragons can be eaten by big ones as they eat anything, so young ones have to live on trees for two to three years before they come down and compete with older ones.
They can smell the blood from few kilometers away! Because of that, any tourist with cut on their skin is discouraged to come on the island.

Absolutely perfect place for the movie Jurassic Park!

Komodo dragons feed on wild deer and boars

There is a small village on the island that the government wants the village people relocate to somewhere else but without success.
