Balloon Over Bagan is the name of
balloon operator in Bagan
and
yes, it is the one we are riding balloon with today.
Great anticipation with such an excitement
was giving me a tickling feeling in my stomach.
I have never ridden hot air balloon in my life!
Wake up call before 6 AM again this morning?
Aren't we on holiday?
Balloons were getting bigger as
we sat around sipping hot coffee
and munching pastries.
It was a bit chilly morning but
it is good that we didn't bring sweater nor wind breaker
as this fire will keep us warm ^^
There are 16 people on each balloon
and there seems to be about 20 balloons this morning
including two other smaller operators' balloons.
Friendly British guy is the operator
and he introduced us an Australian female
as our pilot who has many years of experience on this.
After a short instruction on
Do's and Don'ts
while we are up
and landing position.
We were ready!
Yeah ~~~~ !
We are taking off...actually gliding up!
It was just a magic moment!
Everyone was speechless!
Absolutely overwhelmed!
Watching sunrise from a balloon!
There are about 3,000 pagodas
and temples under our feet
We were flying over our hotel
Bagan Lodge!
Kirk and Todd from Atlanta Georgia,
our Seabourn cruise passengers.
They also arranged private tour and
it happened to be the same hotel
and same balloon.
Small world!
How special!
After 1 hour of dream-like balloon riding
up and down in the air,
landing was so easy and smooth.
Getting out of it was the biggest
challenge for some people. ^^
There were champagne and nibbles
prepared for us as we were watching
them packing and loading balloons on trucks.
We had breakfast buffet at the hotel
when we returned.
It was definitely one of top
unforgettable moments of my life.
Loved it
and
I would do it again anytime.
